<La Citta ; Audience with a stranger> is a
virtual urban space installation that consists of interactive tiles that
respond to the audience's movements. The project was inspired by Calvino's
novel 『Invisible Cities』in the
novel, Kublai Khan learns about the fictional cities through Marco Polo's
story. <La Citta> is a physical representation of a fictional experience
from the novel. Audiences can imagine and experience the imaginary city in a
space surrounded by tiles representing city space, embedded with sounds
collected from the city. This installation is a metaphor of the modern world
surrounded by numerous sensory experiences that each of us experiences
differently. Instead of directly experiencing the city viewer has a chance to
experience this concept through sensory and visual perception. Completely
subjective experience based solely on an individual's cognitive understanding
of the world.

<La Citta ; 어느 이방인의 알현>은 관객의 움직임에 따라 소리내며 반응하는 인터랙티브 타일로 구성된 가상의 도시 공간 설치 작업이다. 도시에서 채집한 사운드가 삽입된 타일로 둘러싸인 공간에서 관객은 자신만의 도시를 상상하고 경험할 수 있다.
이 것은 칼비노의 소설 『보이지 않는 도시들』에서 쿠빌라이 칸이 마르코 폴로의 이야기를 통해 가본 적 없는 도시를 경험하듯이, 현대인들 또한 수많은 마르코 폴로, 즉 다양한 미디어에 둘러 쌓여 있음을 은유한다. 이처럼 비 가시성의 도시 경험을 은유하는 <La Citta ; 어느 이방인의 알현>은 개인의 직접적 경험 이전의 인식 체계는 완벽하게 주체적 않을 수 있다는 개념을 시각적으로 드러낸다.
