The project was inspired by Calvino's novel&nbsp; 『Invisible Cities』in the novel, Kublai Khan learns about the fictional cities through Marco Polo's story. &lt;La Citta&gt; is a physical representation of a fictional experience from the novel. Audiences can imagine and experience the imaginary city in a space surrounded by tiles representing city space, embedded with sounds collected from the city. This installation is a metaphor of the modern world surrounded by numerous sensory experiences that each of us experiences differently. Instead of directly experiencing the city viewer has a chance to experience this concept through sensory and visual perception. 부여한다. 도시에서 우리를 둘러 싸고 있는 건축물, 그 중에서도 건축의 표피라고 할 수 있는 건축 외장재는 도시를 표면적으로 파악할 수 있는 가장 기초적인 단위라 할 수 있으며, 도시의 ‘가장 보통의 존재’ 라고 할 수 있을 것이다. ‘가장 보통의 존재’들은 아주 평범하고 익숙한 모습으로 우리 삶 주변에 늘 존재해 왔다. 꾸밈없는 원래 그대로의 것. 어쩌면 Elements of the play such as music, costumes, and dance are filled with symbols of the Eastern culture. In this project, we were tasked with designing a wardrobe containing the queen’s Hanbok that she would change during the play according to her emotions. For this wardrobe, which includes classic Western form and traditional oriental clothing, a new style needed to be created by combing neo-Gothic style and the traditional Korean mother-of-pearl pattern. This object includes various metaphorical symbols of greed, authority, and death. Task that got assigned to us was to create a small performance space within main Gallery hall of Soorim Art Center. Ha Jung-Woong’s Gallery at Soorim Art Center that covers over 660m2 was assigned to Us as a performance venue. To keep the sound of GAYAGEUM as pure as possible artist decided to not use the help of any sound system and Due to a low sound Performance of GAYAGEUM it was necessary to create a smaller size area for this performance. We decided to introduce another dimension into the white cube of the gallery. In other words, we thought about the performance space as an object that we create within the gallery. Because GAYAGEUM is a traditional instrument we wanted to create a space that would especially emphasize a traditional atmosphere of the performance. - We decided to separate a performance area from main gallery space by thin fabric. We hoped that use of the fabric would not disturb a traditional form of the performance. We maximize this effect by using dim and fainted lights. We decided to use pre existing stairs to place over 60 chairs and surround A player seated in the middle of the lowest level. Compare to traditional performance set up artist was surrounded-by viewers but viewers were surrounded by other viewers as well this created the very specific feeling of companionship.
